Higher Learning Academy (HLA), as part of Gateway Community Charters (GCC), has been working very hard to build a permanent school facility for Higher Learning Academy. GCC has spent several years designing the school site, acquiring the land and arranging for the financing of the school through the State of California for both HLA (grades K-8) and Futures High School (grades 9-12).

The new HLA School will be a state-of-the-art facility. The HLA portion of the campus has 18 technology equipped classrooms, including three Kindergarten classrooms. Please view the different facility layouts and sketches of the new HLA school site.

The new school facility is located on a to-be-built extension of Grace Avenue between Rio Linda Boulevard and Marysville Boulevard.

The new HLA building has all the needed approvals and we are now awaiting notification from the State of California that the state funding is available. If the state funding is made available this Spring, construction can begin within a few weeks. If state funding is not available till the fall of 2015, construction will be delayed, and we may not be able to occupy the school site until fall of 2017.

We are very excited about our new facility. It will be beneficialy for our community charter school. Please check back, we will keep you posted as we move ahead.
