Enrollment for 2024-25 School Year

Thank you for your interest in Higher Learning Academy Charter School. Please use the links below to apply to HLA. You can either submit the application through the google form or complete the fillable PDF and return it to the school site.

Kindergarten/TK information

In order to enter kindergarten, your child must turn five (5) years of age on or before September 1, 2024

Transition Kindergarten will expand in future school years and students will qualify for TK if they turn 5 years of age between:

24-25 School Year: September 2, 2024 and June 2, 2025
25-26 School Year: September 2, 2025 and September 1, 2026

If accepted, new enrollees will need to provide proof of residence, proof of birthdate, and immunization records. The applicant will be disqualified if the application is falsified or if incorrect information is provided. Falsifying any information (including address) will void acceptance. Open Enrollment for 2024-25 School Year

Higher Learning Academy (HLA) held the lottery on April 9th, 2024. HLA will now continue to accept applications and will offer admission as space becomes available in accordance with the admissions and enrollment policy.

HLA Enrollment Lottery Preferences

All TK-8th grade new applicants interested in attending Higher Learning Academy must apply.

If a lottery is needed, preference will be given according to the charter specifications which are as follows:

1. Returning HLA students
2. Siblings of returning students who reside within the Twin Rivers Unified School District boundary
3. Siblings of returning students who reside outside the Twin Rivers Unified School District boundary
4. Children of HLA employees who reside within the Twin Rivers Unified School District boundary
5. Children of HLA employees who reside outside the Twin Rivers Unified School District boundary
6. All other applicants who reside within the Twin Rivers Unified School District boundary
7. All other applicants
